Chow laid low at the Temple of Harrimast for a week or so, paying Peg Leg Peligro to help remove the nasty ghoul juice addiction Chow had acquired during his stint as a test subject.

After telling Spike and Richard how he had spent the last couple of weeks, Chow then attempted to reconcile with Finn, but got turned away by a Syndicate thug a couple of blocks into the Eastern District. The enforcer informed Chow that Finn was disappointed and offended that Chow had refused his offer of assistance in the matter of the well-dressed man, and was further concerned by the fact that the Sea Lord’s Guard just happened to raid the drug lab while Chow was there. As such, the enforcer continued, the Eastern District was off-limits to Chow, and the next time he entered the District, he’d better “come heavy.”

Chow passed this information on to Spike and Richard. Spike tried to smooth things over with Finn, but got a neutral reaction at best. Further conversation with a Syndicate guard turned up one potential method of reconciliation: dealing with Fargas Ironfoot, a notorious halfling pirate who’d been a thorn in Finn’s side for some time.

Spike and Balama pursue various personal interests on the open seas.

At Peg Leg’s request, Richard endeavors to recover the remains of some fellow followers of Harrimast. During the mission, he finds the abandoned ship containing the remains, discovers a survivor, and cures numerous members of his crew who had subsequently become victims of a mysterious plague.

Meanwhile, Chow talks to Xander Williams, the new Commissioner of the Sea Lord’s Guard, and then has to explain himself to Finn. Soon after, Finn asks Chow to investigate a drug dealer who inaccurately portrayed himself as a Syndicate employee during an assault on Will Teach. Chow forgets a key piece of information during his interactions with some of the dealer’s guards, and ends up on the wrong end of too many ice storms.
